The Stadium Centralny long served as the home for FC Rubin.
The stadium underwent a major renovation in the run-up to the 2013 Universiade. Some rows from the eastern stand were dismantled to make way for a long jump facility. AVK GmbH installed a scoring and timing system from Swiss Timing to ensure the achievements of the athletes at the 2013 Universiade were measured with Swiss precision.
