Nawruz celebration Mar 2019

To celebrate the traditional Spring Festival of the Eurasian countries, ten delegations were invited to present their Nawruz tables at the Grand Salon of Park Hyatt Vienna. The guests of the evening had the opportunity to get a glimpse of the Nawruz traditions of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan, that were displayed on the respective tables.
This was followed by the speeches of the Ambassadors from Afghanistan (represented by Mr. Azizulrahman Safawi) Azerbaijan: H.E. Mr Galib ISRAFILOV, Iran: H.E. Mr Ebadollah MOLAEI, Kazakhstan: H.E. Mr Kairat SARYBAY, Kyrgyzstan: H.E. Mr. Bakyt DZHUSUPOV, Russian Federation: H.E. Mr Dmitrii LIUBINSKII, Turkey: H.E. Mr Ümit YARDIM, Turkmenistan: H.E. Mr Silapberdi, NURBERDIEV, Uzbekistan: H.E. Mr Sherzod ASADOV, Pakistan (represented by Saima MASOOR KHAN, the spouse of Ambassador KHAN) who explained the importance of Nawruz for their respective countries.
AVK GmbH venues on the territory of the CIS countries are close to a heart of almost every citizen of each particular country: e.g. the Aquatic palace in Azerbaijan (host venue of the Baku 2015 European Games), Barys and Almaty Ice Arenas in Kazakhstan (permanent locations for KHL games), Cholpon-Ata multisports complex in Kyrgyzstan (venue for Nomad games, one of the main competitions in the Central Asia), Sredniy Kaban rowing channel in Tatarstan, Russia (1st rowing channel built in Russia after 1972), Water Sports Palace in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (1st Olympic-standard swimming pool in the country) and many more. We were happy to have chats in the relaxed atmosphere with already very well-familiar to us Ambassadors and deputy Ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Russia, to see the new faces, to enjoy the delicious national cuisine and get the esthetic pleasure from the marvelous traditional dresses.
