Austrian official business delegation to Ashgabat

Turkmenistan is not among the world’s easy-to-get-into world destinations, at the same time being undoubtedly one of the most beautiful countries of Central Asia, with the impressive city landscapes of Ashgabat – the country’s capital made of white marble, borderless sands of Karakum desert and luxurious brand new resort area Awaza located on the shores of Caspian sea. Thanks to the support from WKO (Austrian Economic Chamber) AVK GmbH Vice President of Sales & Marketing was able to travel to Ashgabat as a part of the Austrian official business delegation.
The super intensive 3-days program included B2G official meetings with the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy, National Olympic Committee and National Sports Federations, Ministry of Education and Ashgabat City Administration. In addition to that AVK GmbH held individual negotiations with the directors of the national stadiums and arenas & B2B talks with the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the heads of the largest construction companies in the country.
In the frames of the Austrian mission to Turkmenistan AVK GmbH got a possibility to see the closed-for-public area of Ashgabat airport, to participate at the networking dinner in the posh interiors of 5 stars Yyldyz hotel and to have individual talks to the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, to the head of the commercial department of the Embassy of the Republic Austria and to the head of the Central Asia department of WKO. Moreover AVK GmbH held individual negotiations with the head of Turope - the organization building bridges between TURkmenistan and EurOPE. And the last but not the least – we had a chance to get to know the city of Ashgabat, with its wide avenues, majestic monuments, hospitable citizens and unforgettable unique atmosphere in general.
As a result of the trip – AVK GmbH discovered and discussed several interesting projects, studied the new market and established a number of the strong local contacts.
Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov considers sports to be a power that consolidates the society and inspires people for the high achievements, to be a source of strength, beauty and health. Mr. President declared in one of his official speeches that they would continue to pay a close attention to the question of the sports development, to the harmonic progress of mental & physical abilities of the youth, to the successful performance of Turkmen sportsmen during the international competitions and accumulation of the necessary sports experience. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is a keen sportsman himself, that’s why he on his own example encourages the state officials and ordinary citizens to take part in mass group physical exercises - a “month of health and happiness” every spring. Following the order of Turkmenistan President, we at AVK GmbH would be honored to participate in developing the sports infrastructure on the territory of Turkmenistan.
